The Flavour Profile

This medium roast coffee from El Salvador is suitable for any extraction method and can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon. It has a medium-full body, delicate acidity, and pleasant flavours of strawberry, red wine, and cherry.

The Little Details

This coffee comes from La reforma farm in a town called Santa Ana in Santa Ana Volcano (Apaneca Ilamatepec) region in El Salvador. It's grown 1300 to 1500 metres above sea level. This beans are 100% natural process. This lot is comprised of primarily Red Bourbon, with a mixture of Orange and Yellow Bourbon, Pacas, and Marsellesa.

About the Process

The coffee cherries are hand-picked when fully ripe by pickers who have been trained to select only fully mature cherries. The coffee is then processed in the family’s modern wet mill, sun dried on patios and stored in their purpose built facility. This allows the Alvarez family to manage the entire production process - with meticulous attention detail shown at every stage. The family and their staff are also skilled cuppers, and they regularly cup and re-cup their coffees to maintain quality.
